Tom Wood hit an unbeaten half-century on the final day of a heavily rain-affect Second XI four-day friendly versus Nottinghamshire at Chesterfield.
The visitors began the day on 132-1 in their first innings after no play was possible on Day Three due to rain and a wet outfield.
Billy Root continued to bat nicely to reach three figures, ending the innings unbeaten on 145 off 174 balls, including 24 fours. Lyndon James fell just short of his own century, hitting 93 off 95 balls, before Nottinghamshire declared on 303-5 after 60 overs.
Derbyshire slipped to 68-4 in reply, but Wood provided good resistance hitting 50 not out off 149 balls, including seven fours.
On reaching his half-century, the two sides shook hands as the match ended in a draw.
