All-rounder Tom Milnes has left Derbyshire by mutual consent.

Milnes, who is in the final year of his contract, has been released from his current deal and leaves the Club with immediate effect.

The fast bowler, who represented England at under-19 level, came through the Academy ranks at Warwickshire and was part of the Warwickshire team that clinched the County Championship in 2012.

After making 14 first-class and three List A appearances for Warwickshire, he joined Derbyshire on loan for the latter part of the 2015 season before signing for the Club at the end of the season.

He appeared in 11 first-class matches, five List A games and one Twenty20 fixture for Derbyshire, scoring 321 runs and taking 22 wickets.

Kim Barnett, Cricket Advisor, said: “Tom is a true professional. He has always given his all on the field and is well-respected by his teammates.

“With opportunities likely to be limited for Tom in the coming season, we have agreed that he should be able to pursue his career elsewhere. We wish him all the best for the future.”
