Derbyshire staff, as well as Cricket Derbyshire Foundation trustees will take part in the annual YMCA Sleep Easy next month to raise money for projects across the county.
Once again held at The 3aaa County Ground on Friday 9 March, the fundraisers will spend a night sleeping rough to raise money and help change the lives of vulnerable young people in Derbyshire.
Chief Executive Simon Storey, who will be taking part for the fifth time, will be joined by Business Development Manager, Jimmy Drew, and Cricket Derbyshire Foundation trustee, Rachel Hudson, in showing their support of the important work carried about by YMCA Derbyshire.
In 2017 the event raised a staggering £37,000 and as a result of 115 people sleeping rough last year, YMCA Derbyshire was able to provide 151 beds each night and accommodate 317 people across the year.
All the money raised goes directly to YMCA Derbyshire, enabling the organisation to continue providing safe accommodation, opportunities for young people to engage in positive activities, work experience and volunteer opportunities and gain business mentors.
