Matt Critchley claimed two wickets and hit 19 in his first appearance for England Lions, ahead of the three-match one-day series with West Indies A.

The all-rounder took 2-9 in just 15 balls as the Lions beat Antigua & Barbuda Masters by 246 runs in a warm-up game on Sunday.

Batting first, England Lions posted 328-9 in their 50 overs, as Sam Curran top-scored with 119 from 96 balls. Alex Davies made 78 opening the batting, before Critchley hit 19, the fourth highest score of the innings, after coming in at eight.

The Lions quickly took control of the second innings and reduced the hosts to 69-7, at which point Critchley took two of the last three wickets to help England Lions to a comprehensive 246-run win in their final warm-up fixture.

The three-match series with West Indies A takes place from 6 to 11 March, and Critchley will be hoping to make his full England Lions debut after an impressive winter saw him called up to the squad for the first time.
