Derbyshire enjoyed a record-breaking campaign last year under Specialist Twenty20 Coach John Wright – who will be back in 2018 – which resulted in a first quarter-final in the format since 2005.
With eight group stage wins witnessed by over 24,000 spectators, Derbyshire finished second in the North Group, including home and away victories over Yorkshire Vikings, to set up a first knockout round match in 12 years.
After defeat to Hampshire in the last eight in 2017, Derbyshire will be looking to go one step further and reach Finals Day this summer.
Bolstered by the return of Wright, as well as Twenty20 Specialist Bowling Coach Dominic Cork, Derbyshire begin their home campaign with the visit of Lancashire Lightning on Friday 6 July.
They then welcome Worcestershire Rapids to The 3aaa County Ground on Sunday 8 July, before two big home games against Notts Outlaws and Yorkshire Vikings. Tickets for both local derbies are selling fast, so be sure to secure your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
The visits of Birmingham Bears and Northants Steelbacks come in the space of five days before Derbyshire’s final home game of the group stages against Leicestershire Foxes on Saturday 11 August.
