Three batsmen hit scores over 50 and all seven bowlers took wickets as Derbyshire claimed a 57-run win over Warwickshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup opener at Edgbaston.
Billy Godleman hit a career-best 137 off 116 balls, with 12 fours and three sixes, as Derbyshire posted a commanding 357-8 from their 50 overs – their highest ever List A total against a first-class county.
Duanne Olivier reduced Warwickshire to 20-2 early in their chase and there were wickets throughout the bowling unit, including two for Safyaan Sharif on debut and two for Luis Reece.
Derbyshire bowled the hosts out for 300 to claim a 57-run victory and two points.
