Chesney Hughes hit 164 as Derbyshire earned a 58-run first innings lead at the end of Day Two of their Second XI Friendly against Kent at Denby CC.
The powerful left-hander scored quickly and hit 21 fours, as well as three sixes, in his 231-ball innings which took Derbyshire in front.
Hassan (55) also made a half-century and Anuj Dal hit 41, before Adam Riley (4-108) claimed four middle-order wickets to restrict the Derbyshire lead.
Derbyshire were 139-3 when Tom Wood (19) was out to Khan, before Dal combined with the prolific Hughes to add 75 for the fourth wicket.
Hughes was eventually out to MacVicar in the 72nd over and with the score 312-5, the opener had scored more than half of Derbyshire’s runs and left the Seconds in a good position.
Riley returned to claim three further middle-order wickets and Derbyshire soon slipped to 312-5 to 363 all out, leading by 58 runs heading into Day Three.
