Derbyshire fast bowler Wahab Riaz joined young cricketers at a recent training session at Derby Congregational Cricket Club.
Pakistan international Riaz visited the local children last week during his spell at the Club as Vitality Blast overseas and helped with their training session, before fielding questions from the inspired youngsters.
The visit was coordinated by Rahim Ali, Project Manager for the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation who deliver a variety of projects using the power of sport to make a positive difference in the community.
Ali said: “It was great to be able to introduce Wahab to these cricket-mad local youngsters. Having the chance to meet a Pakistan international cricketer playing in Derbyshire is an amazing opportunity for these young children and hopefully it will inspire them all.
“There is terrific interest and plenty of local talent within a number of local clubs in the City of Derby.
