Derbyshire Falcons were forced to settle for a point in their final home Vitality Blast match against Leicestershire Foxes as persistent heavy rain at The 3aaa County Ground meant the game ended in no result.
Before the rain, Derbyshire had restricted the visitors to 103-4 in the 15th over as Alex Hughes claimed his 17th wicket of the campaign to equal the record tally for a Derbyshire bowler in the competition.
Lockie Ferguson also took his 16th wicket of the competition, while Ravi Rampaul and Hardus Viljoen also claimed wickets.
After Derbyshire won the toss and elected to bowl, it was the Falcons who seized the initiative in the opening powerplay.
Ferguson removed Neil Dexter (15) in the third over before Rampaul had Harry Swindells caught in the deep for 15 as Derbyshire restricted the visitors to 42-2.
The Falcons continued their pressure as two wickets fell in four balls to reduce the Foxes to 50-4 in the eighth over.
Cosgrove (4) was out caught behind, before brilliant work on the boundary from Calum MacLeod saw the end of the dangerous Ben Raine as Hughes took his 100th wicket in all forms for Derbyshire.
Leicestershire captain Colin Ackermann and Ateeq Javid set about rebuilding the innings for the Foxes as they brought up the 50-run partnership in the 14th over.
However, with the score on 103-4, the heavy rain returned and stayed to end the match as a no result with both teams taking a point.
