Tony Palladino took 3-33 as Derbyshire beat Nottinghamshire by seven wickets in the Second XI One-Day Trophy at The Pattonair County Ground.
Tom Wood (86) and Tyler McGladdery (68) also hit half-centuries as Derbyshire’s Second XI chased down a target of 205 to make it four wins from four to start the season.
Palladino got Derbyshire off to a strong start, claiming two of the first four wickets to reduce the visitors to 37-4 in the 14th over.
He removed Jayden Schadendorf (4) in the fifth over, before Hamidullah Qadri took a catch off Palladino’s bowling as Scott Budinger fell for eight.
Chris Gibson (29) and Hayden Rossouw added 40 for the fifth wicket, before Qadri came into the attack to dismiss the former and end the partnership as the visitors slipped to 101-6.
Rossouw then fell for 43, before wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Hall (39) and Kamau Leverock (34) rallied to carry Nottinghamshire to an all out total of 204.
Derbyshire slipped to 0-1 in reply, however Wood and McGladdery came together to put on a century partnership for the second wicket to take the score past 100.
Both batsmen then brought up their half-centuries, before McGladdery fell for 68 to end the 149-run stand.
Wood continued to reach 86 not out alongside Fynn Hudson-Prentice (13 not out), as the pair guided Derbyshire to a seven-wicket victory with more than 15 overs to spare.
