Derbyshire’s final group game in the Royal London One-Day Cup is against Worcestershire at The Pattonair County ground, Derby.

There have been 59 scheduled fixtures between the two sides in List A cricket with Derbyshire triumphing on 26 occasions, with Worcestershire winning 29, two No Results and two abandonments.
Derbyshire’s highest innings total is 298-3 which secured a seven wicket win at Worcester in 2016 courtesy of a 74-ball hundred by Hamish Rutherford which included seven sixes and seven fours. Few Derbyshire observers could recall many better one-day innings by a Derbyshire batsman.
Derbyshire’s lowest all-out total is 98, in the Benson and Hedges quarter final at Derby in 1994.
Worcestershire’s highest total was made in the corresponding fixture at Worcester in 2018 and their lowest total is 135 all out at Derby in 1969.
Derbyshire’s widest margins of victory are 49 runs at Derby in 2015 and by eight wickets – twice – in 1981 and 1982.
Their narrowest win came in 1984 when the two sides ended their Benson and Hedges group game with the scores level – 257 – but Derbyshire triumphed having lost fewer wickets, seven to nine.
Worcestershire narrowest wins include the one wicket win at Worcester in 1998 and by 9 runs at Ilkeston in 1974.
In addition to Rutherford’s hundred in 2016, there have been five others scored by Derbyshire batsmen with Australia Test batsman, Michael Slater’s unbeaten 110 at Derby in 1998 being the highest. The others include Barry Wood (106 in 1982), Jon Moss (104 in 2004), and two by John Wright – 103 at Worcester in 1982 and 102 at Chesterfield in 1977.
Wright also scored 92 not out at Worcester in 1980, and Michael Di Venuto, Peter Kirsten and Chris Adams also made scores in the 90s.
Three Derbyshire bowlers have taken five wickets in an innings with Eddie Barlow’s 5-30 at Worcester in 1978 being the best analysis.
Colin Tunnicliffe took 5-50 at Worcester in 1981 and Allan Warner 5-39 at Knypersley in 1985.
