Darren Stevens says that he is ready to get going after joining Derbyshire on-loan for the 2019 Vitality Blast.
The all-rounder has signed from Kent for the duration of the Twenty20 competition, having been a regular for his parent club throughout the Specsavers County Championship season so far.
Stevens is delighted to have joined Derbyshire for the Vitality Blast, and he cannot wait to get back to playing in his favourite form of the game.
“This format is my favourite format, I have always enjoyed it,” said Stevens.”I was frustrated last year to get an injury at the start of the Twenty20s last year and Kent ended up going with youngsters for the rest of the tournament.
“I am really pleased to be signing here for the campaign. Twenty20 is electric. It is short and sweet, crowds come in and it is all about boundaries, dot balls and wickets.
“As players, we want to play in front of the big crowds and put on good performances for them.”
