Proud to be Derbyshire Heritage Project is holding a Collection Day at The 3aaa County Ground on Thursday 30 October; 10am to 2pm.

The Heritage Project, which is funded thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, is asking members of the public to come forward and share any photographic collections of Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

Photographic donations will help create a photographic archive celebrating the heritage of Derbyshire County Cricket Club and will bring together over 1,500 images.

All images that represent cricket in the county of Derbyshire will be greatly appreciated and will be considered for both the physical and online archive, with the latter due to be available to public in Spring 2015.

Cricket Derbyshire Director of Partnerships, Ryan Duckett said: “We want Members, supporters and members of the local community to play their part in this landmark heritage project.

“The project will inspire, safeguard and promote the heritage of Derbyshire County Cricket Club and its intrinsic links with people across the county.

“It will also offer learning and volunteering opportunities as well as encouraging generations to share memories and better understand the heritage of cricket and the county.”

For more information about the Collection Day, please contact Heritage Project Manager Chris Airey on 01332 388 106 or email [email protected].
