Wayne Madsen has been nominated for the PCA Player of the Month for August.
The Derbyshire batsman enjoyed a stellar month in the Vitality Blast, scoring 336 runs across eight innings, including four half-centuries and a top-score of 69 against Lancashire Lightening as the Falcons qualified for the quarter-finals.
Along with Billy Godleman, Madsen was involved in a trio of partnerships of 50 or more for the second wicket in the space of four days, as Derbyshire won three games in the group stage.
The Falcons will face Gloucestershire in the Vitality Blast quarter-finals on Saturday 7 September, starting at 7pm, as Derbyshire aim to reach Finals Day for the first time.
