Dominic Cork has selected a 14-man squad for Derbyshire’s Vitality Blast fixture against Leicestershire Foxes on Tuesday 15 September (6.30pm start).
Having top-scored for the Falcons with 68 at Trent Bridge, Wayne Madsen continues in the top-order, alongside Billy Godleman, Luis Reece and Leus du Plooy, with batsman Tom Wood also named in the squad.
Alex Hughes performed well with bat and ball last time out, becoming Derbyshire’s joint-leading wicket-taker in T20s, and hitting an unbeaten 36 against Notts Outlaws, and he’s named in the squad with Matt Critchley, Anuj Dal and Mattie McKiernan.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Brooke Guest comes into the side in place of fellow glovesman Harvey Hosein (mild concussion), while Fynn Hudson-Prentice (thigh) also misses out as the club continue to monitor his progress.
Bowlers Michael Cohen, Dustin Melton, Sam Conners and Ed Barnes complete the squad.

Leicestershire Foxes will be looking to keep their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages alive, having picked up seven points from as many games.
Gareth Delany has scored two half-centuries for the Foxes so far in the competition, with his 162 runs coming at an average of 32.40, while Arron Lilley has scored 192 runs at 38.40.
Delany is tied with Callum Parkinson at the top of the club’s wicket-taking charts, with each claiming five wickets. The former edges out Parkinson in the averages, though, which is 19.80.
Wayne Madsen believes Derbyshire should view this year’s Vitality Blast as a learning experience, as they prepare to face Leicestershire Foxes.
The Falcons are winless in the competition so far, with a number of developing players given their first taste of Vitality Blast cricket during the truncated 2020 season.
Madsen says the players will take lessons from this year into the 2021 campaign.
“For us, especially our young bowling attack, this is an opportunity for us to continuing developing and learn over the next few games,” Madsen told BBC Radio Derby
“We may be out of the competition, but they’re still competitive T20 matches and we owe it to ourselves to make sure that we’re on top of our games and we keep improving, we’ve shown a bit of improvement (against Notts), compared with how we played so far.
“Our bowlers have been thrown in at the deep end, with quite a few making their debuts in this this year, so to gain experience under the pressures of T20 is a great learning experience for those guys, and it will continue to build us as a team.”
