Derbyshire Falcons fell to an eight-wicket defeat in the East Midlands Derby against Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge.
Despite 47 from Billy Godleman, and some nice hitting from Brooke Guest (22 not out) at the end of the innings, the visitors could only set their opponents a target of 143 to win.
Ben Duckett top-scored with an unbeaten 57, while Chris Nash finished not out on 40, as Notts secured victory with 5.5 overs to spare.
Wayne Madsen was promoted to open the batting, after the Falcons were put in by the hosts, but he would only last one ball, as he was caught by Ben Duckett off Wasim.
Leus du Plooy and Luis Reece both fell for five, but Godleman continued for the visitors, as he and Matt Critchley, who was making his 150th appearance for the club, put on 48 for the fourth wicket.
However, Critchley was dismissed for 24 by Samit Patel, while Alex Hughes fell one ball later to the same bowler, leaving Derbyshire 76-5.
Dal (25) provided some much-needed fours, before Guest arrived at the crease and hit 22 from just 13 balls to help the side to a total of 142-8.
Alex Hales hit the first six of the innings with just the second ball that he faced, and the opener raced to 22 before he was caught by Critchley off the bowling of Dustin Melton.
Joe Clarke (16) was the next to fall, when he fell to Critchley, caught by du Plooy, which brought Duckett to the crease.
He and Nash put on 98 runs for the third wicket to guide the Outlaws to victory, meaning they remain unbeaten in this year’s competition.
