Tickets are now on sale for Derbyshire’s LV= County Championship fixture against Essex.
The first-class game, starting on Sunday 11 July at 11am, was initially due to be played at Queen’s Park, as part of the BRM Solicitors Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, but the recent delay in lifting lockdown restrictions has forced a move back to The Incora County Ground.
Demand is expected to be high for the match, as the reigning County Champions and Bob Willis Trophy holders come to Derby, with former England captain Sir Alastair Cook and experienced spinner Simon Harmer expected to feature.
Dave Houghton’s side are aiming to build momentum ahead of the second phase of the four-day competition, and a good performance against a high-flying Essex side would stand them in good stead for the latter stages.
