Derbyshire have named a 13-man squad for their opening LV= County Championship fixture against Middlesex at Lord’s, starting tomorrow (11am).
Overseas signings, Shan Masood and Suranga Lakmal, come into the side ahead of their first County Championship appearances for Derbyshire, while new loan signing, Ryan Sidebottom, is also named in the squad.
Captain Billy Godleman and Luis Reece each struck centuries in the final pre-season friendly against Oxford UCCE and will be looking to bring that form to Lord’s, while Brooke Guest will be buoyed by the signing of a one-year contract extension.

Injury News
The Medical Team can confirm that George Scrimshaw will undergo rehabilitation for a side strain until further notice. Ben Aitchison remains out with a spinal bone injury, which he developed in the friendly against Lancashire, and continues to be monitored. Tom Wood also continues to recover from injury.

The England great has joined the Club for the first two months of the season, having built high-level coaching experience since ending his playing career at the end of the 2020 campaign.
A five-time Ashes and two-time County Championship winner, Bell arrives at Derbyshire to bolster the coaching staff, alongside the experience of Arthur and Ajmal Shahzad.
