Derbyshire have named a 13-man squad for their LV= County Championship fixture against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, starting tomorrow (11am).
Shan Masood enters the game as the country’s leading run-scorer (826), 174 away from reaching 1,000 first-class runs before the end of May, a feat only managed achieved nine times in the history of the game.
Captain Billy Godleman will lead the side containing new loan-signing, Liam Hurt, who has joined Derbyshire from Lancashire for the fixture against Nottinghamshire.
Wayne Madsen, Anuj Dal and Brooke Guest have all been in fine form of late, with the former only failing to reach 50 in one of his last six innings, while Guest and Dal have a combined three centuries in the last two matches.
Sam Conners claimed his second first-class five-wicket haul last time out against Worcestershire, meaning he and Suranga Lakmal have claimed 36 wickets between them.

Injury News
After having a successful return to play against Glamorgan, Ryan Sidebottom has had a recurrence of his hamstring injury and has started rehabilitation.
Ben Aitchison’s recovery from a spinal bone injury is progressing according to plan, although no return to play date has been set, likewise Tom Wood remains out.
The Opposition
Nottinghamshire sit second in the LV= County Championship Division Two table, 11 points behind leaders Middlesex.
England international, Ben Duckett, is Nottinghamshire’s leading run-scorer, with 496 runs at an average 62, just ahead of captain Steven Mullaney, who’s on 458 with two centuries and one half-century.
Liam Patterson-White’s 19 wickets at 21.31 have been a key reason for Nottinghamshire’s strong start to the campaign, while the evergreen Luke Fletcher has taken 13 wickets at an average of 26.23.
