Ben Aitchison made his return to Derbyshire action in the Aston Lark Tour Fixture against India, in front of a capacity Incora County Ground crowd.
The promising quick hasn’t featured for the Club since picking up a spinal bone injury in pre-season, but made his T20 debut for the Falcons against India, where he dismissed Ruturaj Gaikwad with just his fifth delivery.
A half-century from Deepak Hooda (59) secured victory for the visitors, who chased down the target of 151 with three overs to spare, while young fast bowler Umran Malik took 2-31.
Wayne Madsen (28) top-scored for the Falcons, who secured a place in the Vitality Blast quarter-finals after Yorkshire Vikings and Northants Steelbacks were defeated.
The Falcons will close out their T20 group stage on Sunday against Durham, with tickets on sale now.
