The Derbyshire squad have now returned from their Desert Springs pre-season training camp, in partnership with Briggs of Burton, having enjoyed a week of intense outdoor training.
Mickey Arthur’s squad worked hard in the Spanish sun, with fielding and fitness work complementing competitive net sessions, which included bowlers and batters from LV= County Championship Division One side, Hampshire, to provide a different challenge ahead of the new season.

Ian Bell looks ahead to the new season
The pre-season training camp kicked off with the news that England great, Ian Bell, will remain Derbyshire’s Batting Consultant for the 2023 campaign.
Bell sat down with Club Media to discuss the Club’s ambitions for the season, his reasons for staying with Derbyshire and his experience gained over the winter.

Brooke Guest reviews the pre-season training camp
With pre-season friendlies beginning on Thursday 23 March, Derbyshire stepped up their preparations in Spain and will begin outdoor training at Derby from Monday 20 March, and wicketkeeper-batter, Brooke Guest, is excited to get the whites back on for competitive action.
