Jonathan Tattersall hit his second century for Derbyshire Second XI as they ran out winners by 17 runs over Warwickshire in a Second XI Trophy match at Repton School.
Batting first, the hosts made 304 all out, with Tattersall top-scoring with 116 from 119 balls as he shared a 140-run stand with Alex Hughes, who hit 67 from 82 deliveries.
Also in the runs were Ben Slater (32) and Tom Knight (22) but Ateeq Javid (3-49) and Richard Jones (3-57) took three apiece as the hosts were bowled out for 304 in the last of their 50 overs.
In reply, Rob Hemmings (1-43) and Wes Durston (2-38) made early inroads into the Bears line-up, before Will Davis (2-47) and Hughes (2-68) both took a wicket whilst the score was on 94, to leave Warwickshire 94-4.
Aaron Thomason and Javid accumulated a partnership of 116 for the fifth wicket, at the visitors threatened to chase down their target, both both were dismissed in consecutive overs to Greg Cork (1-47) and Durston respectively.
Further wickets for Davis and Hughes, in addition to a Slater run out, helped restrict Warwickshire to 287-9 from their 50 overs, to give Derbyshire victory by 17 runs.
