& News

The Incora County Ground will play host to the Disability Premier League Final on Wednesday 6 September, as part of a huge double-header, with England’s international Twenty20 fixture against Sri Lanka taking place in the evening.

Tridents won the inaugural competition in 2022, defeating Pirates at Bristol, and they will be looking to mount a strong defence of their title when the 2023 season begins in August.

Four drafted squads of 16 players, including England internationals, will battle it out for a place at the final at Derby in September, as the groundbreaking T20 competition comes to a close in front of a big crowd.

The final will begin at 12.30pm and will finish before England’s IT20 against Sri Lanka, which begins at 6pm. Entry will be free for the DPL final, and anyone who wishes to stay for the international fixture in the evening can purchase a ticket by clicking the button below.

Both games will carry the matchday experience that supporters will be familiar with at The Incora County Ground, including matchday activations, music and a wide variety of food and drink. Both fixtures are scheduled to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Ian Martin, Head of Disability cricket at the ECB, said: “The Disability Premier League continues to go from strength to strength, and it’s exciting that once again the final will be available to watch on Sky Sports. We wish the best of luck to everyone taking part and I can’t wait to watch the action unfold.”
