Derbyshire Falcons welcome Durham to The 3aaa County Ground on Tuesday 7 June, looking to continue their winning start to the 2016 Royal London One-Day Cup with an unchanged 13-man squad.
The fixture is the first day/night fixture at Derby of the 2016 campaign, and the Falcons come into it in buoyant mood, having defeated Leicestershire Foxes in the NatWest T20 Blast on Friday night, before an impressive victory over Worcestershire Rapids at New Road over on Sunday.
In the 50-over win versus Worcestershire, Hamish Rutherford put the hosts’ attack to the sword, striking a century from just 74 deliveries, and hitting seven sixes along the way, as the Falcons chased down 296 to win – their highest successful chase in List A cricket.
The target had been set after Derbyshire had bowled the Rapids out for 295, with Ben Cotton claiming career-best figures of 4-43, and Andy Carter and Shiv Thakor picking up two wickets apiece.
Attentions now turn to the fixture versus Durham, who also got their 50-over campaign off to a winning start, defeating Leicestershire by 11 runs at Grace Road, having racked up 340 batting first.
Tuesday’s match is the first of the Falcons’ two home Royal London One-Day Cup games this week, as they host Yorkshire Vikings at Chesterfield on Sunday 12 June.

Durham hit the highest score of the opening round of Royal London One-Day Cup fixtures, as they scored 340 to defeat Leicestershire by 11 runs.
The Durham opening pair of Captain Mark Stoneman and wicketkeeper Phil Mustard put on a superb opening stand worth 180, with Stoneman hitting 93 and Mustard 88.
The star with the ball for Stoneman’s men was Jamie Harrison who picked up career-best List A figures of 4-40, whilst the always dangerous Chris Rushworth returned 2-48.
Durham Head Coach Jon Lewis is confident that his side will make progress in this season’s competition, having progress through the group stages in 2015.
He said: “I like the format of the game because it tests players in every aspect but it’s a long, hard day, played almost at the intensity of the T20s now.
“Last year we kind of just about scraped out of the group stage and unfortunately at the quarter final stage it basically went to a T20 game because of the weather.
“In the rest of the competition last year, we only lost one full 50-over game, the rest were all reduced in overs and we didn’t adjust especially well to the shorter formats.”
