This Sunday, The Incora County Ground will play host to two national club T20 finals, with Derbyshire side, Sandiacre Town, among the sides battling it out for silverware.
The double-header will begin at 11am with the Vitality Plate final between Old Elizabethans CC (Worcestershire) and Wellington CC (Shropshire), before Sandiacre Town CC (Derbyshire) face Wimbledon CC (Surrey) from 2.45pm.
Entry for both games will be free, with limited catering facilities available. Please note The Incora Members’ Pavilion will not be open to Members or spectators.
Having won the regional stage of the competition, defeating Northern Cricket Club by five wickets, Sandiacre Town will now progress to their second national final in three seasons, having faced Bath Cricket Club in the ECB National Club Championship final in 2021. Wimbledon overcame Swansea Cricket Club by seven wickets in their regional final to set up the game at Derby.
Sandiacre Town are no strangers to the latter stages of national competitions, having won the National Club Championship in 2003 and 2014, they also last reached the final of this competition in 2016, and boast a number of Derbyshire alumni, with Dan Wheeldon, Connor Marshall and current Pathway prospect, Yousaf Bin Naeem.
