Mohammad Amir was one of the standout bowlers in the 2023 Caribbean Premier League, as he prepares for his stint with Derbyshire in 2024.
Amir, who will be with Mickey Arthur’s side for the first half of next season, claimed the third-most wickets in the competition, with 16 from just ten appearances, at an average of just 13.75 and best figures of 4-19.
His Jamaica Tallawahs side fell short of a place in the final, losing out to eventual winners, Guyana Amazon Warriors, but Amir was in fine form with the ball, putting in a string of match-winning performances to ensure his side reached the knockout stages.
The former Pakistan fast bowler, who boasts more than 250 international wickets, has been selected for January’s Bangladesh Premier League and is likely be a part of the 2024 Pakistan Super League in February and March, before joining up with Derbyshire ahead of the new campaign.
