From 1st April 2020, Derbyshire County Cricket Club will make significant steps towards becoming a cashless venue, with all tills accepting card and contactless payments.
The move, which is designed to improve speed of entry into the ground, as well as service at bars and efficiency across the site, will see all entry gates and till points only accept card payments.
In recent years, the venue has seen an increase in the use of card payments across the various catering units and ticket gates throughout The Incora County Ground, resulting in 62.5% of all transactions at these points of sale in 2019 being paid via card – an increase of over 30% compared to 2018.
All Derbyshire till points, now running a new and improved Kappture Point of Sale system, accept contactless payments, while traditional pin-entry card transactions are also available.
It is important to note that this policy will be in effect from the start of the 2020 season and The Incora Members’ Lounge will be included.
There will be a transitional period to help all spectators with this move, during which each catering unit will have a limited cash float.
