The County Ground will play host to back-to-back T20 fixtures on Sunday 16 June, when The Blaze take on South East Stars in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, before Derbyshire Falcons’ Vitality Blast fixture against Birmingham Bears.
After the success of last season’s Family Day double-header, the Falcons and The Blaze will again perform at The County Ground, with two action-packed T20s and a host of activities for the whole family.
The East Midlands-based Blaze, will travel to Derby to kick off the double-header, before Mickey Arthur’s Falcons take on the Bears, with the likes of Hassan Ali, Sarah Glenn, Tammy Beaumont all potentially featuring on the day.
The Blaze reaches two finals in 2023 and will be aiming to go one step further this time around, while the Falcons are targeting success of their own, with a host of new signings including Samit Patel and Ross Whiteley.
The County Ground has been one of England’s premiere venues in the growth of women’s cricket for more than six years, with annual England internationals combining with Charlotte Edwards Cup matches to take a prominent place within the ground’s summer schedule.
