MidlandsMania
Four teams. Two Midlands rivalry matches.
Midlands sports fans, back your team at the first ever MidlandsMania which will see four teams do battle for local bragging rights at Edgbaston on Saturday 14 June.
The day will see Derbyshire Falcons host Leicestershire Foxes, before Bears take on Notts Outlaws in one big day of T20 entertainment. Expect fireworks on and off-the-pitch, with live music, great fun and more. Plus a few more big announcements to come…
Why is Derbyshire taking part in MidlandsMania?
Having been a partner in delivering Blast Off in 2023 and 2024, MidlandsMania is an evolution of that concept to create an additional big event to the major match schedule and a way to increase the number of supporters enjoying the Vitality Blast. Following the central changes to Blast Off in 2024, Derbyshire, alongside Warwickshire, believe the MidlandsMania concept will create a long-term event which can grow to become one of the biggest sporting occasions in the calendar in the Midlands, and build towards the success seen in other sports, such as Big Game in Rugby Union, which has grown to its 16th iteration.
