A leg spinner with the capacity to score runs down the order, McKiernan made his Twenty20 debut for the Club in 2018.
An all-formats player, McKiernan has now played 51 matches for Derbyshire scoring 783 runs and taking 36 wickets. He recorded his maiden first class hundred against Leicestershire at Leicester in 2022.
