Legendary Derbyshire bowler Harold Rhodes is the latest ex-player confirmed to be attending the Proud to be Derbyshire Heritage Project Lunch on Sunday 15 November at The 3aaa County Ground.

Rhodes is the second Derbyshire player to be announced for the event and will form part of a panel which will look back at some of the famous images from the Club’s history. There will also be a Q&A session for guests to pose questions to the panel.

He will join former Derbyshire and England batsman Chris Adams on the panel for the event, with more ex-Derbyshire players to be announced in due course.

Rhodes spent 22 years at Derbyshire between 1953 and 1975, featuring in 288 first-class fixtures and 39 List A matches. He is eighth on the list of all-time Derbyshire wicket-takers with 993 first-class scalps at an average of 18.91, including 42 five-wicket hauls.

Rhodes also played two Tests for England versus India in 1959 and claimed nine wickets at an average of 27 apiece.

The lunch will celebrate the Proud to be Derbyshire Heritage Project, funded thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, and a selection of photographs and items collated as part of the project will be on display.

Tickets for the Heritage Lunch are on sale now priced at £30 per person, with all proceeds going to the Cricket Derbyshire Foundation (Registered Charity No: 1155801).

Guests will be treated to a delicious two-course Sunday Lunch at the event which will take place in the 3aaa Pavilion.
