Derbyshire will learn their 2020 fixtures on Tuesday 26 November, with a packed calendar of cricket and the club’s 150th anniversary to look forward to next year.

Fixtures for all three domestic competitions will be announced next Tuesday, as County Championship cricket returns in April, before the Vitality Blast gets underway at the end of May through to July.

Four day cricket will take place in every month of the domestic calendar in 2020, with Australia fast bowler, Sean Abbott, set to feature in up to ten matches for Derbyshire, after joining for the first half of the 2020 season.

He will be joined by fellow Australia international Ben McDermott for the explosive Twenty20 action as Derbyshire aim to improve on a record which has seen them reach the knockout stages in two of the last three seasons, including a maiden Finals Day appearance in 2019.

The wicketkeeper-batsman will join up with an experienced Derbyshire squad, including the likes of last year’s tournament leading wicket-taker, Ravi Rampaul and talismanic batsman, Wayne Madsen.

Tickets for next summer’s Vitality Blast go on sale in March, but you can guarantee your place now with our brand new Blast Pass. Following record crowds in 2019, including successive home sell-outs against local rivals Yorkshire Vikings and Notts Outlaws, the club is anticipating high levels of demand for tickets, with the Blast Pass enabling supporters to secure their tickets and save over 30%.

Switching to the height of summer, the Royal London Cup takes place in July and August, with Derbyshire hosting four home group matches.

McDermott remains available for the competition, while Billy Godleman will be hoping to continue his fine form in the format, which has seen him score over 500 runs in the past two seasons with averages above 70.
