With the 2019 season finished, we take a look back at some of the defining moments across all three formats for Derbyshire.
Luis Reece claimed five wickets and scored a stunning 184 as Derbyshire beat Sussex in their final home game of the 2019 season.
The hosts had struggled in the first innings, with Anuj Dal’s 35 the top-score in a total of 138 on Day One at The Pattonair County Ground.
However, they responded in a relentless fashion, with Reece claiming 5-63 as Sussex were dismissed for 231, despite half-centuries from Stiaan van Zyl (60) and George Garton (50).
Reece took his momentum with the ball into Derbyshire’s second innings, as he and Billy Godleman (106) put on an opening stand of 274, with the former hitting a career-best score of 184 from 189 balls, including 32 fours and one six.
Dal (3-11) and Matt Critchley (3-36) led the way for Derbyshire in Sussex’s second innings, as the visitors were all out for 163 in Derby.
