To celebrate the 150th year of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, we sit down with players, staff, legends and Members to find out just what the club means to them.
Alan Flintoff has been a supporter of the club since he was a child, and he has gained a lot of fond memories in that time.
The Life Member has seen plenty of ups and downs over the years, but he believes that the importance of the club to the region, and its relationship with the community, has never changed.
“This is a very friendly club, especially compared to some of the southern counties. We don’t have the biggest Membership, but the players always seem to interact well with supporters.
“This club is very important. I like that it’s in the centre of Derby, but it is Derbyshire County Cricket Club and it represents the whole county.”
