To celebrate the 150th year of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, we sit down with players, staff, legends and Members to find out just what the club means to them.
Community Development Officer, Charlotte Flindall, has experienced first-hand how the welcoming atmosphere in cricket can engage with the local community.
As we head towards a new season, she hopes that the action at The Pattonair County Ground can inspire people to take an even greater interest in the game.
“I think it’s important to see what cricket is about, which is generations coming together to enjoy sport at its best,” said Flindall.
“So it’s important have a clear pathway, so that people know that cricket is for everybody, and everybody is welcome at these kind of events (matches).”
