Over 100 Members join second online Forum

Friday 22nd May 2020

Derbyshire County Cricket Club conducted its second virtual Members’ Forum in as many months, with over 100 Members in attendance.

Following the success of the club’s first forum held via Zoom in April, the club welcomed over 100 Members to the exclusive event on Thursday evening to discuss updates regarding the season, Membership and more.

Chief Executive, Ryan Duckett, and members of the Supervisory Board including Chairman Ian Morgan, outlined the club’s ongoing plans to reduce the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on club finances and ground development, while also providing an update on staffing and the playing squad.

Duckett, said: “We received really positive feedback after our first virtual Members’ Forum in April and it was clear there was an appetite among Members to continue with Zoom meetings, therefore we were keen to get a second date set up straight away.

“To then be joined by over 100 Members yesterday, with the opportunity for a productive debate and discussion surrounding all aspects of the club, was really pleasing.

“I would like to thank our Members for their ongoing support and I look forward to the next forum, details of which will be communicated in due course.”
